This month’s staff spotlight is one of our wonderful luxury travel managers at Valesa. Meet Jennifer, one of the Americans on our team and with us for about 2 years. She has mastered the art of curating itineraries for our individual clients, and now she will be branching out to manage groups as well! Jennifer’s kindness and hard-working attitude make her an important part of the team, and we know she’ll conquer this new challenge.
Jennifer grew up in Queens, New York, but her grandparents are from northwestern Spain. She used to go there almost every summer to visit family while growing up. Later, she studied abroad in Madrid and fell in love with the city. She decided to come back a few years later to get her MBA and she began to work in the hospitality sector focusing on wine tourism. Now, she takes all that expertise and is putting it to good use at Valesa!
Jennifer enjoys learning new things and so Groups will be a change of pace for sure. She explains that working with groups requires her to focus on many more details, such as ensuring that all dietary restrictions are taken care of for each meal! We know that she’ll be in good hands learning from our groups experts, Nuria and Laura. Indeed her favorite thing about working at Valesa, besides our wonderful team, is that there are always new things to learn, making each day exciting. When asked where she would like to visit next, she wants to explore the Costa Brava and the Portuguese wine regions.
